Stapleton is a village in and the county seat of Logan County, Nebraska, United States. The population was 305 at the 2010 census.

Stapleton is part of the North Platte, Nebraska Micropolitan Statistical Area.

Stapleton was established in 1912 when the Union Pacific Railroad was extended to that point. It was named for Mr. Stapleton, whose donation was instrumental in starting the town.

Stapleton is located at 41°28′48″N 100°30′46″W / 41.48000°N 100.51278°W / 41.48000; -100.51278 (41.479926, -100.512649).

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 0.25 square miles (0.65 km2), all of it land.
