Somerville is a town in Lincoln County, Maine, United States. The population was 548 at the 2010 census. Somerville is included in the Augusta, Maine micropolitan New England City and Town Area.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 22.81 square miles (59.08 km2), of which, 21.93 square miles (56.80 km2) of it is land and 0.88 square miles (2.28 km2) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 548 people, 225 households, and 153 families residing in the town. The population density was 25.0 inhabitants per square mile (9.7/km2). There were 309 housing units at an average density of 14.1 per square mile (5.4/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 94.7% White, 0.4% African American, 0.2% Native American, 1.8% Asian, 0.4% from other races, and 2.6% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 2.7% of the population.
There were 225 households of which 26.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 50.7% were married couples living together, 8.9% had a female householder with no husband present, 8.4% had a male householder with no wife present, and 32.0% were non-families. 26.2% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.9% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.44 and the average family size was 2.84.
