Social Coalition (Italian: Coalizione Sociale) is a transversal political organization in Italy, which was founded in June 2015 by Maurizio Landini, secretary-general of the metalworkers' section of the Italian General Confederation of Labour. Its goals are the protection of workers and the middle class. The organization, that reunite several leftist thinkers, like the jurist Stefano Rodotà, the politician Vittorio Agnoletto, the former communist terrorists Oreste Scalzone and Franco Piperno. The CS is criticized by the Democratic Party for its opposition to Matteo Renzi and his politics.
