Skandia Township is a civil township of Marquette County in the U.S. state of Michigan. The population was 826 at the 2010 census. The township contains the Dukes Research Natural Area, a National Natural Landmark.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the township has a total area of 72.1 square miles (187 km2), of which 72.0 square miles (186 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) (0.08%) is water.
As of the census of 2010, there were 826 people, 350 households, and 242 families residing in the township. The population density was 11.4 per square mile (4.4/km²). There were 478 housing units at an average density of 6.6 per square mile (2.6/km²). The racial makeup of the township was 93.5% White, 2.4% American Indian, 0.6% Asian, 0.1% Black or African American, 0% from other races, and 3.4% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.6% of the population.
There were 350 households out of which 26.9% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 60.0% were married couples living together, 6.6% had a female householder with no husband present, and 30.9% were non-families. 25.1% of all households were made up of individuals and 11.8% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older.
