Sindoor Tere Naam Ka Story of vedkia (Hindi: सिन्दूर तेरे नाम क, Sindoor of your name) was a Hindi serial that has aired since 21 March 2005 until 6 April 2007. Due to its popularity, the series was to be dubbed in Mandarin for scheduled airing in China as of 2007. On 9x currently.
The story is based on the lives of two sisters, Niharika and Vedika. Vedika is a mentally unstable young woman who has a phobia for the traditional auspicious symbol of sindoor. Vedika's sister, Niharika, agrees to marry a disable man named Antariksh on the condition that Vedika gets married to his elder brother. She gets married to a mentally sound man named Dhruv. The subsequent events in their lives, along with the fortunes of their family members, form the substance of the story and it is a family drama.
