The 1951 Singapore City Council elections were the first such elections since the Singapore Municipal Commission had been renamed the City Council.
The city council consisted of a total of 6 seats representing the south side of the island. There were 26,831 eligible voters during the elections.
The Progressive Party and Labour Party had an even split of seats with each party taking three each.
