Simon K.King is an Indian film composer who has composed music for Tamil films. Making his debut with Sasi's Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu (2013), Simon won positive reviews for his soundtrack and background score.
Simon started his music career as a keyboard programmer while he was pursuing his graduation in engineering. He then continued to work on developing his interests in composing and arranging music. From there he started composing jingles where he notably worked on the entire sound design for Hello FM as well as for more than 300 jingles for various brands. Simultaneously he worked as a freelance Music Producer for many Music directors in Tamil, Hindi, Telugu, Kannada and Malayalam film industries.
Simon made his debut in the Bharath starrer, Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu(2013) directed by Sasi. The song “Elavu”, that Simon had composed for the same film was critically acclaimed and was well received on social media. Simon's music for his second film Aindhaam Thalaimurai Sidha Vaidhiya Sigamani, also a Bharath starter, won a lot of positive response and was widely appreciated. A review stated "Simon continues to show promise after Ainthu Ainthu Ainthu!." and "A good different genre catchy album from music director Simon after 555.". The music was also greatly appreciated by veteran Director K. Balachander, as he stated "I myself felt like dancing to those tunes.". The album also featured Music Director Vijay Antony, crooning a complete song for the first time, for a different composer.
