Vijay Antony is an Indian music composer, playback singer and actor working in the Tamil film industry. His real name is Cyril Raja Anthony and was given a stage name Vijay Anthony by Director S A Chandrasekar
He made his acting debut, enacting the lead role in the thriller film Naan (2012). The film received mostly positive reviews from critics. Naan marks music director Vijay Antony in a dual role debut, one that of a hero and the other as a producer. It is also significant for him in terms of his musical journey as Naan is the 25th film for the talented music director. His next venture as an actor and music director was Salim (2014), in which he portrayed the same character from Naan; her films were sleeper hits.India Pakistan (2015), his next release, a romantic comedy, was starred in but did not compose music for. He has acted in Pichaikkaran (2016), collaborating with his Dishyum director Sasi.It is an emotional movie and was released in Tamil, Telugu and Hindi. Saithan (2016), the psychological thriller flick directed by debutant Pradeep Krishnamurthy has released in around 1350 screens across the globe and has been getting overwhelming positive reviews from all corners. Looks like the film is set to become yet another sure shot hit for Vijay Antony. It gave two Blockbuster Hit movie in 2016. After the Success of ‘Pichaikkaran’ & ‘Saithan’ movie, Actor Vijay Antony is back with Yaman (2017) directed by Jeeva Shankar (‘Naan’ movie Fame). Yeman produced by A.Subaskaran under the banner Lyca Productions. The film stars with Mia George and Thiagarajan in lead roles. The film has been censored with U certificate and will hit the screens on 24th February worldwide.

He is the first Indian to win the 2009 Cannes Golden Lion for the Nakka Mukka commercial (for The Times of India) in the Best of Music category. Nakka Mukka raised his fame and that song was played in the 2011 Cricket World Cup.
