Shweta Shetty (born in 1969 in Mumbai) is an Indian pop singer known for her albums and for her contributions to Bollywood film soundtracks. She is married to a German, Christian Brandt and now lives in Hamburg, Germany.
Her first album, Johnny Joker, was a moderate success.
Shweta Shetty belonged to the golden generation of the Indipop genre. She had a Mariah Careyesque voice in an era where female voices were generally not husky in the industry. She added a lot of depth to Rahman's Hindi debut album Rangeela for "Mangta Hai kya"
