Shobhna Desai (born 22 January 1954) is an Indian Actress, TV and film producer. She is well known for the Gujarati serials in the late 1980s. In the nineties, came Jeevan Mrityu, Alpviram and Ek Mahal Ho Sapno Ka (TV series) and in 2000s - Hum Pardesi Ho Gaye (2001), aired on Sony TV all of which met with huge success and catapulted her. Many of her shows are directed by Vipul A Shah later he directed his first hindi movie based on Shobhna Desai's Gujarathi play "Aandhlo paato" into Hindi Aankhen Blockbuster movie starring Amitabh Bachchan, Akshay Kumar, Arjun Rampal, Sushmita under same production house. Shobhna Desai produced first Marathi movie Kho Kho directed by Kedar Shinde.
