Shilpa Tulaskar is an Indian actress who has acted in Marathi films and Hindi television shows.
She is currently portraying the character of Sujata, mother of the male lead Atharva, in Jana Na Dil Se Door on Star Plus.
Tulaskar was born in Maharashtra. She completed her education from Ramnarain Ruia College.
Her first television role was in the Doordarshan TV serial Byomkesh Bakshi (1993) as Tulsi. Later followed by in Shanti, as Shyama (Shanti's step-sister) in 1994. Then she appeared Marathi TV show Vaibhav. Tulaskar is noted for her roles in the films Devaki (2001),Dombivali Fast (2005) and Kalchakra (2008) and has earned a lot of appreciation for her role in the recent television serial Ladies Special (Sony TV).
Tulaskar also has a number of plays to her credit. She also gained popularity playing a nurse and later, female lead Riddhima's stepmother in Dill Mill Gayye. She played the role of Jijabai in Veer Shivaji on Colors, and Queen Menavati (Goddess Parvati's mother) in Devon Ke Dev...Mahadev.
