Sheriff of Monmouthshire

This is a list of Sheriffs of Monmouthshire, an office which was created in 1536 but not fully settled until 1540.

On 1 April 1974, under the provisions of the Local Government Act 1972, the county of Monmouthshire was abolished, along with its shrievalty, and replaced by the new county of Gwent, with the new office of High Sheriff of Gwent.
