Sheena Chohan is an Indian actress and model from Kolkata, where she did 3 years of theatre and dance while in school, after which she also acted with Asmita theatre group in Delhi for 2 years under Arvind Gaur.
She started off her career as a model and won the coveted Lakme Miss Kolkata title. Later she was hand picked by Sushmita Sen to compete the ‘Miss India Universe – I am she’ contest, under which she won a title.
Sheena made her acting debut with the Malayalam film ‘The Train’ co-starring superstar Mammootty, directed by Jayaraj, Indian National Award winning Director. The film was released in June 2011 and was a box office hit.
In 2012 she acted in Mukti and Patralekha, directed by the national award winner Buddhadev Dasgupta. Both the movies were based on Rabindranath Tagore's poems.
In 2014, Sheena was the lead protagonist "Rima" in Mostofa Sarwar Farooki's film "Ant Story". The film made a world premiere at the Dubai International Film Festival in December 2013.
Sheena was also nominated for the best actress award at the Dubai and Shanghai International Film Festival for Ant Story.
Sheena shot for the Bengali film named Justice with director Bappaditya Bandopadhyay in the year 2015, which is in the pre production stage.
In the year 2016 Sheena completed shooting for a Short film - Priya, based on Tess by Ed Hardy, where she played the lead character of a village girl named Priya.
In the same year, she also shot a music video on the legendary retro song "Chand sa Roshan Chehra", an episode for an upcoming web series, and an advertisement for Cello Pens. She is currently shooting for her next film.
As an actress, she has worked with brands like Sony Bravia, Wella, Make-up Art Cosmetics and Videocon.
All the characters played by her be it a young quirky girl in the web series, a crazy young fan of a singer in the national advertisement, or a scientist in her next Bengali film, Sheena has done complete justice to her craft.
