ShanghaiTech University (ShanghaiTech; Chinese: 上海科技大学) is a new research university in Shanghai, China. Its campus is located in the Zhangjiang Hi-Tech Park in Pudong.
The establishment of ShanghaiTech is a joint effort of The People's Government of Shanghai Municipality and The Chinese Academy of Sciences Shanghai Branch.
ShanghaiTech is in cooperation with several overseas universities such as University of California, Berkeley, University of Chicago, Massachusetts Institute of Technology, Drexel University, University of Padua and USC School of Cinematic Arts.
