The Serbian National Final, Beovizija 2008, was held on March 9 (semi-finals) and March 10, 2008 (finals) at Sava Centar in Belgrade to determine Serbia's representative at the Eurovision Song Contest to be held in Serbia in May. Beovizija was hosted by Kristina Radenković, Branislav Katić, Đorđe Maričić and Nina Radulović, and the winner was Jelena Tomašević with the song "Oro" scoring the maximum from both the jury and televoters.
20 songs competed in the semi-finals. The top 10 songs from the semi-final qualified for the national final. The voting was a mixture of televoting (50%) and a professional jury (50%).
As the winner of the Eurovision Song Contest 2007 and the host of the competition, Serbia was one of the five countries directly qualified into the final on May 24, 2008. It came sixth in the overall score board with 160 points, receiving the maximum 12 points from Bosnia and Herzegovina, Slovenia, Switzerland and Montenegro.
