Sean M. Joyce (born ca. 1961) was the 14th Deputy Director of the Federal Bureau of Investigation.

Joyce, a Massachusetts native, is a graduate of Boston College and the Tuck School of Business (at Dartmouth College). Prior to joining the FBI as a Special Agent in the Miami Field Office in 1987, Joyce worked at Raytheon, Accenture, and Merrill Lynch. In 1994, he joined the FBI Hostage Rescue Team, during which time he participated in the capture of Mir Qazi. Several years later, he joined the Dallas Field Office as a SWAT team leader and a Supervisory Special Agent. In the 2000s, he served in a number of leadership positions, including Assistant Special Agent in Charge of the Washington Field Office, Legal Attache in the US embassy in Prague, Assistant Director of the FBI's International Operations Division (within the FBI Criminal, Cyber, Response, and Services Branch), and Executive Assistant Director of the FBI National Security Branch. On September 1, 2011, Joyce became the Deputy Director, making him the second-highest-ranking official in the FBI (and the highest to not be politically appointed). He was succeeded by Mark F. Giuliano on December 1, 2013. Joyce is now working as a Principal of Advisory Forensics Services Practice for PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP.
