The following is the list of number of competitors participating at the Games per sport/discipline.
* Beth Potter has been selected to compete in both athletics and triathlon. For this reason she has not been included in the total for the athletics component of the Scotland team.
Team Scotland announced its squad of 26 athletes (11 men and 15 women) on 12 December 2017. Beth Potter − who was already selected for the triathlon − will be the first ever Scot to contest two sports at the same Commonwealth Games.
