Sarli, or Sarliya, is a dialect of the Gorani language spoken in Iraq. It is spoken by a cluster of villages north of the Little Zab river, on the confluence of the Khazir River and the Great Zab river, just west-northwest of the city of Kirkuk. Many speakers have been displaced by conflicts in the region.
It has no known dialects and reportedly is most similar to Bajelani, but it is also similar to Shabaki. The Sarli language contains Kurdish, Turkish and Persian influences like its neighbours Bajelani and Shabaki.
The Sarli speakers follow their own branch of Yarsanism.
