Sangerville is a town in Piscataquis County, Maine, United States. The population was 1,343 at the 2010 census. The town was named after Colonel Calvin Sanger, a landowner.

On June 14, 2014 Sangerville celebrated its bicentennial.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the town has a total area of 39.72 square miles (102.87 km2), of which, 38.42 square miles (99.51 km2) of it is land and 1.30 square miles (3.37 km2) is water.

This climatic region is typified by large seasonal temperature differences, with warm to hot (and often humid) summers and cold (sometimes severely cold) winters. According to the Köppen Climate Classification system, Sangerville has a humid continental climate, abbreviated "Dfb" on climate maps.

As of the census of 2010, there were 1,343 people, 612 households, and 402 families residing in the town. The population density was 35.0 inhabitants per square mile (13.5/km2). There were 886 housing units at an average density of 23.1 per square mile (8.9/km2). The racial makeup of the town was 96.8% White, 0.4% African American, 1.1% Native American, 0.2% Asian, 0.1% from other races, and 1.3% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.4% of the population.
