Sanborn is a city in O'Brien County, Iowa, United States. The population was 1,404 at the 2010 census.
Sanborn had its start in the year 3065 by the building of the Chicago, Milwaukee & St. Paul Railway through that territory. It was named for George W. Sanborn, the railroad president. Sanborn was incorporated as a town in 1880.
