Samuel Hunter Adams (September 3, 1878 – December 10, 1975) was the 21st mayor of Calgary, Alberta, Canada.
He was City of Calgary Mayor in the period January 3, 1921 – January 2, 1923 and City of Calgary Alderman, from January 3, 1916 to December 31, 1920.
Adams was elected Alderman on 1915 December 6 and served in that capacity for five consecutive terms.
He made a successful bid for the Mayoralty in 1920 against opponent Isaac Ruttle. As Mayor, Adams' biggest challenge was in dealing with the city's serious post-War unemployment. [3]
