Samolus parviflorus, commonly known as water pimpernel, is a species of plant in the primrose family.

It is native to widespread areas in the Western Hemisphere, where it is found in warm areas of North America, Central America, and Bolivia. There is also a disjunct population in Japan. This species is found in a variety of wet habitats, including stream banks, tidal marshes, and seeps. It can be found in both degraded and intact natural communities.

It is a small perennial that produces white flowers throughout the growing season.

Samolus parviflorus has often been considered a variety of the closely related Samolus valerandi, which is found in much of the Eastern Hemisphere. However, most modern taxonomists now separate them as separate species due to their distinct morphologies and geographical isolation.
