Sam "YG" Young Guy (born as Samir Gogna, also known as Shivaker) is a Filipino-Indian radio and television personality. He is the one-third of Boys Night Out host on Magic 89.9 with Tony Toni and Slick Rick. Y.G. was also a co-host for Eat Bulaga!.
Gogna was born and raised in the Philippines. He came from a Catholic family in Jaipur, India. Gogna aspired to become a lawyer when he was a teenager, which led him to pursue a degree in legal management in college.
Gogna was granted his Filipino citizenship in 2011. In May 2016, Gogna became engaged to Joyce Pring after his co-disc jockey Tonytoni publicly announced their relationship via Instagram.
Y.G. started his career in radio at the age of 19. He has worked with several television networks after graduating from college. In 2006, he became a DJ for Magic 89.9. In 2009, he first appeared in Cool Center as a relationship expert along with DZBB's Mr. Cariñoso. He also joined the cast of Eat Bulaga! and Diz Iz It!. In 2015, he notably interviewed former Japanese AV Idol Maria Ozawa. Also in July 2015, he covered for Men's Health Philippines. In January 2016 after the last segment Dancing In Tandem replacing ATM with the Baes, Y.G. departed Eat Bulaga! to focus his career as a DJ.
