Saltia is a locality in South Australia spanning the north eastern boundary of the City of Port Augusta and the south eastern boundary of the District Council of Mount Remarkable.
The town of Saltia was laid out by Charles Simons in 1862 at the entrace to Pichi Richi Pass on sections 901 and 902 of the Hundred of Woolundunga. A post office was opened at Salti circa 1869.
