Roman Catholic Diocese of Montalto

The Diocese of Montalto (Latin: Dioecesis Montis Alti) was a Roman Catholic diocese located in the town of Montalto delle Marche in the Province of Ascoli Piceno in the Italian region Le Marche. Erected in 1586, it was suppressed in 1986 to the Diocese of San Benedetto del Tronto–Ripatransone–Montalto.

On 1586.11.24, the Latin Catholic Diocese of Montalto was established on territory split off from the then Diocese of Fermo (now an Archdiocese).

On 1986.09.30 it was suppressed and its territory and title were merged into the Diocese of San Benedetto del Tronto–Ripatransone–Montalto. The town houses the Montalto delle Marche Cathedral.
