The Roman Catholic Diocese of Taejon (Latin: Dioecesis Taeieonensis) is a diocese of the Latin Rite of the Catholic church in South Korea. It is the diocese for Daejeon, South Korea. Nazarius Heung-sik Yoo is its bishop; Augustinus Kim Jong Soo is the auxiliary bishop.
Pope Francis has accepted an invitation extended by the South Korean authorities and Bishops to visit the Roman Catholic Diocese of Daejeon for the celebration of the Diocese's Youth Day (not to be confused with the World Youth Day celebration, a similar type of Catholic event, but on a global scale and held every three years in a certain city; smaller-level diocesan celebrations like this one are observed in the interim years during the same period all over the world).
On 23 June 1958 Pope Pius XII erected the Apostolic vicariate of Daejeon. The vicariate was raised to be a diocese on 10 March 1962 by Pope John XXIII.
