Rogersville is a city in Greene and Webster Counties in the U.S. state of Missouri. The population was 3,073 at the 2010 census. It is part of the Springfield, Missouri Metropolitan Statistical Area.
A post office called Rogersville has been in operation since 1882. The community has the name of one Doctor Rogers, a pioneer settler.
According to the United States Census Bureau, the city has a total area of 3.44 square miles (8.91 km2), all of it land.
As of the census of 2010, there were 3,073 people, 1,138 households, and 833 families residing in the city. The population density was 893.3 inhabitants per square mile (344.9/km2). There were 1,240 housing units at an average density of 360.5 per square mile (139.2/km2). The racial makeup of the city was 95.0% White, 0.4% African American, 0.7% Native American, 0.4% Asian, 0.1% Pacific Islander, 0.7% from other races, and 2.7% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 3.5% of the population.
There were 1,138 households of which 46.5% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 53.0% were married couples living together, 15.1% had a female householder with no husband present, 5.1% had a male householder with no wife present, and 26.8% were non-families. 21.8% of all households were made up of individuals and 8.2% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 2.70 and the average family size was 3.16.
