Robot and Monster is an American CGI animated television series created by Dave Pressler, Joshua Sternin and J.R. Ventimilia. Main characters Robot and Monster are voiced by Curtis Armstrong and comedian Harland Williams, respectively. It began production in 2009 and was ordered for a full 26-episode season in 2010, before finally premiering on Nickelodeon on August 4, 2012. The entire series was released on DVD in 2014.
The complete series was made available for streaming as part of Nickelodeon's Noggin app in March 2015.
Working at the Blinking Light Factory is basic for Mechanicals and Organics. Robot and Monster make an odd couple, since Robot is serious and Monster is always goofy, but that does not keep them from being best friends. They do everything together, such as testing gadgets out, dreaming of J.D. and Spitfire, taking care of their pet Marf, avoiding the annoying Ogo or their landlord Mr. Wheelie, and eating tons of bacon.
Robot teaches Monster how to be an adult, but soon Robot starts to see Monster's imaginary friend, Fuzzy Slippers.
Robot's hero is in town and looking for an apprentice.
Tensions run high when both Robot and Monster's families are invited to celebrate Baconmas at their apartment.
Robot and Monster become a musical success when Robot's invention creates a catchy song for Monster to perform, but their relationship begins to crack when Robo Ono threatens to break up the band and friendship.
Special guest stars: Kari Wahlgren as Robo Ono, Leon Thomas III as Monster's Singing Voice in the song "I Love Love", Greg Cipes as Vapid Milquetoast and Maurice LaMarche as Jerry.
Premieres were originally broadcast on Nick from August 4, 2012 to December 8, 2012, though reruns still aired time to time on early weekend mornings at the 7AM hour until 2015. The show also aired daily on Nicktoons up until May 3, 2015.
On November 11, 2014, the entire series was released on DVD. (Though two episodes remain unaired by the time it was released)
