Richmond is a village in Madison Parish, Louisiana, United States, located on Roundaway Bayou. The population was 499 at the 2000 census. It is part of the Tallulah Micropolitan Statistical Area.
During the American Civil War, Union forces occupied Richmond on March 31, 1863. A Confederate force attempted to repel the invaders but was forced to retreat because of superior federal artillery.
