Richard Devon (December 11, 1926 – February 26, 2010) was an American character actor best known for his roles in television and film.
Devon was born in Glendale, California. Beginning in the 1950s, he was employed as a character actor in many Four Star Television television series but not exclusively. For instance, he appeared also in the ABC/Warner Brothers western series, Colt .45 in the guest-starring role of Ed Pike in the 1959 episode "Yellow Terror".
Devon's lengthy television credits included Richard Diamond, Private Detective (three times), The Rifleman, The Life and Legend of Wyatt Earp, Johnny Ringo (in the episode "The Posse"), Space Patrol, Trackdown starring Robert Culp (three episodes, including the series pilot,"Badge of Honor" on "Dick Powell's Zane Grey Theatre") The Tall Man, Gunsmoke (TV series) (in the episode "Ex-Con"), The Rebel, The Virginian and its spin-off, Laredo, Daniel Boone, The Monkees, Lassie, The Twilight Zone episode Dead Man's Shoes in 1962, three episodes of Perry Mason from 1964-1966, and Mission: Impossible. Devon had a recurring role in the CBS series, Yancy Derringer, as Jody Barker, a pickpocket and sometime cohort of the lead character played by Jock Mahoney. Also in 1963, he played the role of Cole Striker, a crook, in the episode "Incident of the Buryin' Man" on CBS's "Rawhide".
