The idea for Represent originated from the co-founders' first startup company Prizeo’s function of providing a platform for influencers to create prize-based campaigns to raise money and awareness for causes they're passionate about.Prizeo was acquired by tech mogul Todd Wagner in early 2015.
In March 2015, it was reported that the company was turning over up to "$3m a month in sales just six months after it started".
