Redwood is a census-designated place in Jefferson County, New York, United States. As of the 2010 census, the area population was 605.
Redwood is in the eastern part of the Town of Alexandria. The community is near the southeast town line.
Former boxer Tommy Ryan was born here.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the village has a total area of 2.5 square miles (6.5 km2), of which, 2.0 square miles (5.2 km2) of it is land and 0.5 square miles (1.3 km2) of it (20.00%) is water.
Redwood is located on New York State Route 37 at the junction of County Roads 3 and 192. The community is between Mud Lake and Butterfield Lake.
As of the 2000 census, there were 584 people, 205 households, and 160 families residing in the village. The population density was 286.8 per square mile (110.5/km²). There were 277 housing units at an average density of 136.1/sq mi (52.4/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 98.63% White, 0.68% African American, and 0.68% from two or more races.
