Raz Mesinai (born 1973) is an Israeli musician and composer. He is best known as a member of the group Sub Dub. Following Sub Dub's demise, he started to record under the alias Badawi. His 2001 album, The Unspeakable, featured unreleased music that he composed for Hellraiser 6 soundtrack, which he considered "too scary for the movie".
AllMusic critic Heather Phares considered Mesinai's music as among "the dreamiest and often eeriest that illbient the genre had to offer. His work under the alias Badawi featured elements of his Israeli and Middle Eastern heritage while his 1999 album, The Heretic of Ether moved away to a more orchestral and less dub-inspired sound.
