Raver (रावेर) is a city and municipal council in Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. Well known for its Banana production, Raver exports to various parts of India and the world.
The economy of the city is mainly dependent on agriculture. And business....
Raver is located in North Maharashtra Region. It is 22 kilometres (14 mi) from Madhya Pradesh. It has an average elevation of 248 metres (814 ft).The Satpura Range is approximately 15 kilometres (9.3 mi) from the city. Raver has very hot climate in the summer season; the temperature ranges up to about 40–45 °C (104–113 °F).
The City is well connected to Major cities & District Headquarter Jalgaon(64 km) through various roads. The Ankaleshwar-Burhanpur National Highway Previously (SH4) runs through the city. It connects city to Neighbour city Burhanpur (25 km)in Madhya Pradesh & Ankaleshwar(365 km) in Gujarat. Due to which the Raver along with Savda and neighbour villages became an important Banana Transportarion Hub of Jalgaon District. Due to Increasing traffic of trucks on this highway it is being recently converted into National Highway. The City is also well connected to other villages through Major District Roads.
Raver Railway Station is 8 km from Raver in Jalgaon district in the Indian state of Maharashtra. The city is well connected to Mumbai & Delhi through Railways. The Raver Railway station is located on the Major Bhusawal-Khandwa line of the Bhusawal Division of Central Railway. Almost 60-70 trains Daily run through this busiest line. But only 10-12 trains had a stop on this station due to the Bhusawal Junction is nearby junction from the city. Due to increasing population of the city People are demanding for many trains to have stop on Raver station.
The airports Nearby city are Jalgaon, Aurangabad, Indore. The Jalgaon Airport is not yet opened. The people prefer to go at Aurangabad and Indore Airport.
As of 2011[update] India census, Raver has a population of 27,039. Males constitute 52% of the population and females 48%. Raver has an average literacy rate of 65%, higher than the national average of 59.5%: male literacy is 72%, and female literacy is 58%. 15% of the population is under 6 years of age. Raver has mixed population of all casts including Hindu,Muslims. The Adivasi people living at Satpuda Hills include Tadavi (Bhilla), Pawara, Bhilala, and Pardhi.
