Rapids City is a village in Rock Island County, Illinois, United States. The population was 959 at the 2010 census, up from 953 in 2000.

As of the census of 2000, there were 953 people, 352 households, and 280 families residing in the village. The population density was 623.0 people per square mile (240.5/km²). There were 367 housing units at an average density of 239.9 per square mile (92.6/km²). The racial makeup of the village was 98.53% White, 0.10% Asian, 0.10% Pacific Islander, 0.52% from other races, and 0.73% from two or more races.
