Raabta (film)

Raabta is an upcoming Indian film directed by Dinesh Vijan and produced by Homi Adajania, Bhushan Kumar and Dinesh Vijan. The film stars Arjun Kapoor, Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon in lead roles. The music for Raabta will be composed by Pritam. It is scheduled for release on 9 June 2017.

Priya is about to marry Yasin, she is very in love with him but when she arrives at the altar and receives a call where they tell her that Yasin did not arrive because she fled with Naani. Priya is disconsolate for a long time and closes the doors to the love to him until it knows Kalu, it will bring again joy to his life, nevertheless, did not count on that Yasin returned; Priya decides to return with Yasin because she still loves him but does not know that she got into a big mess with dangerous people, when she chooses she is also in danger. It will be too late?

The film production began in 2015 and it was set to release in 2016. But the film was delayed for a year due to casting issues. In March 2016, a new release date of 9 June 2017 was announced.

Initially Alia Bhatt signed the film to play the lead role with Sushant Singh Rajput but Bhatt turned down the role due to date issues. In December 2015, Asin was signed to play lead role opposite Rajput but she turned down the offer because of the date issues, Kriti Sanon was signed on to play the leading female role in the film in February 2016 .
