RTL Passion (formerly Passion) is a German pay tv channel owned by the RTL Group and GrundyUFA TV Produktions GmbH. The channel is distributed by digital cable and satellite. Passion launched on 27 November 2006 and targets a female audience with soap operas, telenovelas and television dramas.
RTL Passion serves as a women's interest channel. The television program is led by exclusive previews of the soap operas Unter uns, Alles was zählt and Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten before original airing on RTL Television. Passion also shows classic episodes of Unter uns, Gute Zeiten, schlechte Zeiten and Verbotene Liebe.
The channel is the home of foreign shows like Once Upon a Time and Secret Diary of a Call Girl. It also airs reruns of shows like Dynasty, Dallas, Hotel and Falcon Crest. Next to that Passion mostly airs telenovelas which previously were dubbed for German television to lower costs. One example is Cuna de Lobos which originally aired in 1991 on RTL Television.
Passion is currently part of Sky and can also be added through Unitymedia Kabel BW and IPTV Telekom Entertain.
