Rúsvel Alexis Saravia Mejía is a Salvadoran footballer. He currently plays for Platense in El Salvador.
Saravia plays as a striker and was first spotted by San Francisco head coach Gary Stempel, when he was coaching Águila in El Salvador. At the time Saravia was playing in the Salvadoran third division with C.D. Los Andes, and was asked to trial with the San Miguel club, where he impressed Stempel and was offered a contract. Unfortunately, Saravia was unable to complete the transfer as both Águila and C.D. Los Andes could not come to an agreement as to how much the player was worth. On January 17, 2008 it was announced that Saravia had signed with Panamanian side San Francisco on a two year contract after having impressed with C.D. Los Andes having scored 38 goals in the 2007 Apertura season. On October 10, 2008 it was announced that Saravia had been released from San Francisco when the club and his representatives could not come to an agreement over his transfer. It had been reported that San Francisco wished to keep him at the club and buy out his transfer from his representative Omar Ruiz, but both Saravia and his agent did not wish to sell and although they offered a loan deal, both they and the club ultimately could not come to an agreement and Saravia was released. Soon after, Saravia returned to El Salvador where he signed a contract to play for Atlético Balboa. After a strong season he signed with newly promoted Once Municipal.
