Proud Like a God is the debut album of the alternative rock band Guano Apes. The album was released on 6 October 1997 on BMG and GUN/Supersonic Records. It includes the singles "Open Your Eyes", "Rain" and "Lords of the Boards".
The album was certified platinum in Germany, for shipping 200,000 copies, and also in Switzerland.
