The Natal red rock hare or greater red rock hare (Pronolagus crassicaudatus) is a species of mammal in the family Leporidae. It is found in Mozambique and South Africa.

The animal's fur is thick and rough and the color is salt-and-pepper red while the bottom is rusty to buff. The chin is white or grayish-white and the cheeks over a broad band to the nape that contrasts with the rest of the body. The creature's weight is 1.3 to 3.1 kg.
