Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance also known as PWWA is an Australian independent Women's professional wrestling promotion founded in 2007 by Ryan Eagles and Madison Eagles. It is Australia's only women's professional wrestling promotion.
On 3 September 2011, the Shimmer Championship was defended for the first time outside of the United States, when Eagles defeated Jessie McKay and Nicole Matthews at a Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance event in Australia.
As of August 2014 Global Force Wrestling announced working agreements with Pro Wrestling Alliance Australia and PWWA.
The PWWA Championship is a professional wrestling championship in Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance. It is competed for in Pro Wrestling Women's Alliance, and has been defended on shows of sister promotion Pro Wrestling Alliance Australia. Championship reigns are determined by professional wrestling matches, in which competitors are involved in scripted rivalries. These narratives create feuds between the various competitors, which cast them as villains and heroines.
