Primevil

Primevil is a comic book villain that first appeared in the Malibu Comics Ultraverse book The Godwheel.

When the resurrected god Argus sought servants to retrieve the keys to the Crucible of Life for him, he teleports several Ultras (superhumans) from Earth to the Godwheel. One of the Ultras he seeks to retrieve was the Ultra hero Prime, but instead he accidentally recovers one of Prime's discarded husks, which was in storage at an Aladdin facility. This husk is brought to life by the villainess Necromantra when she agrees to serve Argus. Though nearly as strong as Prime, Primeval intelligence is limited. Primeval ends up confronting several members of the Freex team who are attempting to acquire the Windsword key from the underside of the Godwheel. He partially absorbs the reptillian Cayman, leaving him drained of much of his power and half-human. The sword is lost to the Freex. Primeval serves Argus until Argus attacks Necromantra. Primeval demonstrates great loyalty to Mantra, protecting her as best he can. Joining the other ultras and newly arrived Thor from the Marvel universe, they are able to banish Argus to another realm. Thor then transports everyone, including Primeval, back to earth.

Primeval soon confronts Prime himself. Prime had been attacked by the Ultra-killer Rafferty who had shot an explosive tipped arrow into his head, blowing him up. Prime's alter-ego, Kevin Green, survives but he was suffering from a concussion. Primeval, drawn to the "Prime" energy within Kevin, attacks. Transforming into Prime, Kevin found that this Prime-body had its head on backwards, and was soon defeated by Primeval. Primeval attempts to absorb Prime and take his power, but the government heroine Phade intervenes and gave Prime the time to right himself and defeat Primeval.

A god soon used Primeval as a pawn again. The Norse god of evil, Loki, trapped in the Ultraverse, seeks to gather the Infinity Gems which had also appeared in the Ultraverse. Collecting all the Gems would grant vast cosmic power. Already having procurred the Time Gem from Hardcase, Loki uses Primeval to retrieve the Mind Gem. Primeval, however, places the gem on his head and becomes intelligent. Seeking out Mantra, whom Primeval had fallen in love with, the pair found themselves under attack from Loki. Traveling to the Godwheel, they confront Loki. To keep the gem for himself, Primeval attempts to absorb Loki, though the act would kill him. To save Primeval from himself, Mantra separates the gem from his head. Loki soon acquires the gem for himself. With no reason to continue fighting, Loki lets Mantra and the once again near mindless Primeval depart.
