Fairfield Showground also hosts the Assyrian New Year annually on 1 April, with thousands of Assyrian Australians attending the festival.

It is also home to the Australia's first, largest and longest-running Eid Festival. In 1987, The Australian MEFF Consortium commenced the Multicultural Eid Festival and Fair to celebrate Eid in Sydney, held shortly after Eid ul-Fitr.
