Pražský výběr is Czech rock band, formed in 1976 in Prague. Their first album Žízeň was released in 1978. Their second album Pražský výběr (also known as Straka v hrsti) was recorded in 1982. The band was banned in communist Czechoslovakia and the album was released in 1988. Their last album was released in 1997. The band broke up in 2006. In 2012, the group was reunited with two drummers. They plan to release a new album in 2016. Members of the group were Michael Kocáb, Michal Pavlíček and others.
