The Polytechnic University of Central America (Universidad Politécnica de Centroamérica) is a private university, located in Panama City, Panama. Established in 2003, it is considered as one of the largest private universities in the country.
The university has its roots in the Universidad Empresarial de Costa Rica, established in Montealegre, province of San Jose (Costa Rica) in 1997. The one in Panama was opened on October 31, 2003, with facilities in Panama City. Two other facilities where later opened in Veraguas and Herrera. The Faculty of Health Sciences was opened on September 13, 2007.
