Poland selected its entry for the Eurovision Song Contest 2010 on 14 February 2010. Telewizja Polska (TVP) held a national selection, Krajowe Eliminacje, to select the Polish entry for the contest, which was held in Oslo, Norway from 25 to 29 May 2010.
The Polish national broadcaster TVP held a national final for the 2010 contest on 14 February in Warsaw, where 10 songs competed to represent Poland at the Eurovision Song Contest 2010. The contest was almost identical to last year's Polish final, Piosenka dla Europy, however a number of changes had been made to the format: the professional jury used in previous years was abolished, and only a public vote decide the winner of the contest. As opposed to previous years, only Polish performers were able to compete in the contest, preferably with songs by Polish songwriters. Songs could be submitted to TVP until 2 November.
TVP had announced that they would publish the final list of competing songs on 25 November 2009. It was also announced that, as with the Eurovision Song Contest itself, televoting lines would be open from the beginning of the first performance.
On 25 November 2009, TVP revealed four finalists that had been selected from 130 entries submitted to the broadcaster. The broadcaster extended another invitation to interested artists to submit more songs, and a number of wildcards would be awarded to the best entries.
The first wildcard was announced on 27 November, shortly after the first announcement: VIR with the song "Sunrise". However, on 11 December 2009, the band PIN announced their withdrawal from the competition, due to time constraints in recording their forthcoming album. On the same day, two wildcards were added to the line-up by the broadcaster: Sonic Lake with "There Is a Way" and Nefer with "Chciałem zostać sam!". On 20 December 2009, TVP revealed three more wildcard entries: Iwona Węgrowska with "Uwięziona", ZoSia with "Jak ptak", and Leszcze with "Weekend". On 28 January 2010, Marcin Mroziński was announced as the final wildcard with the song "Legenda", completing the line-up of the final.
The winner of the contest was Marcin Mroziński with the song "Legenda", receiving 33.61% of the final vote. Anna Cyzon came second with 15.13% and Iwona Węgrowska came third with 14.94%.
