Petter Karlsson (born May 31, 1977) is a multi instrumentalist and singer of Holocoaster and was a member of Swedish symphonic metal band Therion (2004–2008), and member of other several bands: Diablo Swing Orchestra, Snowy Shaw, Kajarr.

Petter Karlsson joined Therion in 2004. He had a big impact on Therion's 13th album Gothic Kabbalah, and was involved in the writing of 9 of the 15 songs (Gothic Kabbalah, The Perennial Sophia, Wisdom and the Cage, Tuna 1613: Momentum Excitationis, Trul, Path to Arcady, TOF - The Trinity, Chain of Minerva (2012) and The Falling Stone). In 2010 he co-wrote the music for the song Hellequin and did the lead vocals in 2012 on Therion's Sitra Ahra.

On January 18, 2010, Diablo Swing Orchestra announced that Karlsson will be replacing their old drummer, Andreas Halvardsson, who left due to "personal reasons".

On October 9, 2011, the band released their 3rd album title: Pandora's Piñata. Drums were recorded at Petter's friend's studio, Boo.

On March 29, 2012, he left the band Diablo Swing Orchestra feeling he couldn't "mobilize that amount of greatness and enthusiasm, without having a bigger share of the artistic creation and in addition to limited financial gain. I just have too much other things going in my life right now. And I really want to continue working on my own projects." Petter's statement was published on Diablo Swing Orchestra's Facebook page

In 2008, Petter Karlsson launched his own project called Holocoaster. Self-styled as Murder rock/Killer metal, launched a video clip for the song "Another day - Another victim". "The last year I've received hundreds of mails from fans begging me to come up with something new .This is the first time I've ever been able to put 110% effort, commitment, blood and tears into my music without any compromises." Later in 2014 the song Mani-Jack was featured on the Swedish Encyclopedia "The Heaviest Encyclopedia of Swedish Hard Rock & Heavy Metal Ever!" where the book author misspelled the band's name. A final statement was posted via Revernation were Petter Karlsson explains the reason why the band didn't make further and released 5 songs from the unfinished debut album to listen and download for free
