Enquiries by justice or numerous journalists are often made about the Balkany's city management. But Balkany and his wife always react and consider that they are aggressed.
Balkany made international news too when on July 17, 2012, just days before the vote on a new national sexual harassment bill, male lawmakers in the National Assembly including Balkany hooted and made catcalls as Housing Minister Cécile Duflot, wearing a floral dress, spoke about an architecture project.
“We were just admiring her,” Patrick Balkany, a conservative legislator, told Le Figaro.
