Parvarrish – Season 2 (English: Upbringing - Season 2, abbreviated as Parvarrish or Parvarish, is an Indian soap opera that premiered on 23 November 2015 on Sony Entertainment Television India. The show is a sequel to Parvarrish – Kuchh Khattee Kuchh Meethi..
Parvarrish primarily revolves around two families who are friends. T the first season was a massive hit. The show was renewed for a second season. It focuses on the troubles they go through in bringing up their children who are teenagers and the lessons they learn from these experience.
Surinder (Sangita Ghosh) moves from Amritsar to Delhi to provide a better life to her kids, Jassi (Diana khan ) and Jogi (Anuj Pandit Sharma). She is accompanied by her husband Kulvinder, (Sandeep Baswana) and supportive in-laws. They are a regular middle-class family with aspirations regarding their children. Their daughter Jassi is a shy teenager while their son Jogi is a regular adolescent lost in his own world. In Delhi, she meets her old friend, Nikki (Gautami Kapoor) who is an affluent working woman. The two women revive their friendship and discuss issues including parenting. Nikki is anxious as her daughter Riya (Bhavika Sharma)is a regular teenager, who does not listen to her mother and feels the peer pressure common in metro cities. What the two mothers learn from one another drives the show. Ria on one side feels independent, brave and with a competitive nature.
Jassi on the other hand looks always scared, she just cant manage to adopt the new lifestyle of the new city. Surender always tries to get Jassi to confront her fear. Jassi though was not the real daughter of Surender and Kulvinder she was adopted and this truth was hidden by Jassi itself. It also focuses on the friendship between the three. The show also revolves around "Student Of The Year" competition in which Riya, Jassi and Jogi take part and succeed in becoming one of the five chosen competitors to represent their school. The other two competitors, Aditya and Ankita, however, make several failed attempts to get Jassi and Riya out of the competition. Since Riya is seen to have a crush on Aditya, he uses this fact to get Riya distracted from the competition by asking her to be his girlfriend and pretends to care for her. Riya falls for it. Even after Jogi telling her the truth, she still blindly trusts Aditya. Riya starts doubting Aditya after ankita and jassi's fight. Jogi somehow manages to show the real face of Aditya. Riya slapped Aditya and runs away from there. She sits on the ground and cries while Jogi goees after her with the motive of emotional support but Riya hugs Jogi and starts crying. Jogi kisses her on her forehead and Aditya prepares a MMS of the kiss and sent it to Khurrana as well as Gupta family both the family thought that Riya and Jogi are in a relationship. Riya tries to clear the misunderstanding but Jogi does not allow her to do and confess his feelings for Riya in front of Nikki.
