Parmelee (Lakota: wósoso; "cut meat") is a census-designated place (CDP) in Todd County, South Dakota, United States, which lies within the Rosebud Indian Reservation. The population was 562 at the 2010 census.

Founded in 1916 as Cut Meat, the town was renamed to Parmelee in 1921. The present name honors Dave Parmelee, a pioneer settler.

According to the United States Census Bureau, the CDP has a total area of 5.8 square miles (15 km2), of which 5.7 square miles (15 km2) is land and 0.1 square miles (0.26 km2) (1.22%) is water.

Parmelee has been assigned the ZIP code 57566.

As of the census of 2000, there were 650 people, 151 households, and 122 families residing in the CDP. The population density was 114.3 people per square mile (44.2/km²). There were 160 housing units at an average density of 28.1/sq mi (10.9/km²). The racial makeup of the CDP was 2.31% White, 97.38% Native American, and 0.31% from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 0.31% of the population.

There were 151 households out of which 51.7% had children under the age of 18 living with them, 37.7% were married couples living together, 35.8% had a female householder with no husband present, and 19.2% were non-families. 15.9% of all households were made up of individuals and 1.3% had someone living alone who was 65 years of age or older. The average household size was 4.30 and the average family size was 4.95.
